ORDERING 

Orders have to be placed through our online shop. The total price of your order is to be paid at checkout.  Orders have to placed at least 3 days in advance.  

Exception: special gift boxes or seasonal specials - taking orders until the date specified with the specific article in our shop.

In case you need a cake on shorter notice, please read the “Short Notice Orders” section below. We are happy to check if it is possible to fit into our baking schedule.

SHORT NOTICE ORDERS

For any short notice orders, please contact us directly by e-mail to order@sakura.berlin before ordering. All shorter notice orders have to be confirmed by e-mail from sakura before being placed through the online shop. 

Please let us  know:

1. what & how much you'd like to order

2. for when you'd like to order.

We will get back to you asap to confirm whether your order is possible or not. sakura has the right to decline any short notice orders (less than 3 days in advance) that are not possible to fit into our production schedule. 

Once your short notice order is confirmed, please place your order through our online shop. 

Any non-confirmed short notice orders placed through our online shop will be cancelled and refunded after subtraction of a 10% processing fee.  

ORDER CONFIRMATION 

You will receive confirmation of your order by e-mail within 48 hours when your order is accepted.  In case any further information is required to process your order, you will also be notified by e-mail within 48 hours.  

In case our production capacities are already fully booked for your desired cake collection date (more than 3 days in advance), sakura is entitled to decline your order. Before declining your order, we will contact you with alternative options for you to choose from.  

CHANGE REQUESTS / CANCELLATION / REFUNDS 

Once your order has been confirmed by e-mail, any change requests or cancellation are possible until 72 hours prior to the confirmed collection time. If you choose to cancel your order, the amount paid will be refunded after subtraction of a 10% processing fee.  

sakura has the right to cancel any short notice order (less than 3 days in advance) that are not confirmed from our side  and placed through our online shop. The amount paid for any such non-confirmed short-notice order will be refunded  after subtraction of a 10% processing fee. 

sakura furthermore has the right to cancel your confirmed order in case of inability to prepare your cake due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. inability to produce due to natural catastrophes, energy shortages, staff sickness, having to close the bakery in response to governmental regulations and other irregular circumstances preventing us from baking).  

In case of cancellation from our side for orders placed at least 3 days in advance, the amount paid for your order will be refunded completely. 

CAKE COLLECTION 

Your cake will be ready for collection at the confirmed date & time stated in your confirmation e-mail.  Please collect your cake at our bakery sakura in Tieckstr. 8, 10115 Berlin before 5 pm on your cake collection day.  In case you do not pick up your cake, your order cannot be refunded.  

At collection, your cake will be presented to you to confirm your cake was prepared for you as ordered. Once your cake has been collected, complaints regarding the looks and decoration of your cake will no longer be accepted.  

PACKAGING AND TRANSPORTATION 

Your cake comes plated on a cake board and packed in a cardboard cake box suitable for transportation. Please make sure to hold your cake from underneath during transport in order not to damage your cake.  

Your cake should be moved carefully and should by no means be shaken left and right or up and down during transport to ensure it stays intact.  

SERVING & ENJOYING YOUR CAKE 

All cakes are best to be enjoyed on the day you collect them at our bakery.  

Cakes should be stored refridgerated, but are best to be enjoyed at room temperature. We recommend to take them out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving.
